Electronic Interpolation Circuit 전자식 보간칩, 회로, 시스템으로 불리어지기도 한다.

보간의 기본은 기본적으로 90도 편차를 가지는 2개의 sine파형의 전류.전압신호이다. 전자적보간은 측정분해능을 안정적으로 높이기 위하여 2개의 입력신호의 파형을 변화시키는 것이다. 증폭은 특히 위치나 각도측정을 위한 가변식 엔코더와의 연결등에 많이 적용되고 있다. 신호의 발생방법은 중요하지 않기에 광학식 또는 마그네틱식 엔코더 모두 적용된다.

보간자의 특성 및 장점은 변조율, 최대 입력 주파수.출력신호가 다양하게 처리된다는 것이다. 이러한 파라미터는 물론 전자 보간시스템은 전류, 옵셋 및 입력신호의 변위공차를 설정하는 것에 따라 다양하게 만들어진다. 고객의 원하는 입.출력신호의 차이나 옵셋컨트롤은 물론 정현 변이특성 ( static phase)등을 처리할 수 있으며 고분해능의 DSP시스템에서 동적변이제어를 수행할 수 도 있다.
